Another trip to the capital of chic

I was lucky enough to have another short trip to Paris. We stayed on the Saint-Germain, which was a great location, an ideal place to start our wonders around the city. Whereas my last trip was fashion related, this time it was all about the sites. We climbed the Eiffel Tower, went to the Louvre, the Jardin des Tuileries, Les Jardins du Luxembourg, the Notre Dame, the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur and the Carrousel de Louvre (the site of Paris Fashion Week). And of course we stumbled across many other buildings, all of which I can't remember the names of.

Wreaths, Crowns and Headresses

Having found myself at the Ashmolean Museum today visiting the Heracles to Alexander the Great exhibition, I was particularly taken by the two gold wreaths on the display. They really were both breathtaking. The image below is the Myrtle Wreath of Queen Meda, from 336 BC. It inspired me to find images of other headpieces which have caught my eye.
